2. Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

  • Individual Assessment: All treatments are subject to an individual clinical assessment.

  • Variability: Treatment recommendations, timelines, materials, and costs may vary depending on each patient’s dental condition, bone quality, medical history, and clinical findings.

  • Personalised Quotes: A detailed treatment plan and quote will be provided prior to commencing any treatment.

3. Nature of Dental Treatment & Outcomes

Dental treatment involves clinical judgement and biological processes that vary between individuals.

  • No Guarantees: While we strive for the best possible results, clinical outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Success depends on factors such as individual healing response, oral hygiene, and patient compliance.

  • Professional Advice: Information on this website is general. A clinical consultation is mandatory to determine suitability for any procedure.

4. Implant & Surgical Procedures (AHPRA Compliance)

Procedures such as All-On-X, dental implants, extractions, and bone grafting involve surgical components.

IMPORTANT: Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

  • Healing and integration times vary per patient.

  • Additional procedures may be required based on clinical findings during surgery.

  • Final prostheses are provided only after clinical review and integration.

5. Patient Responsibilities

Patients play a critical role in the success of their treatment. You are responsible for:

  • Providing an accurate and complete medical and dental history.

  • Following all pre- and post-treatment instructions strictly.

  • Maintenance: Attending all scheduled reviews and maintaining high oral hygiene standards.

  • Failure to comply with these responsibilities may adversely affect treatment outcomes and void clinical warranties.

6. Fees, Quotes & Payments

  • Estimates: All fees are based on the individual treatment plan. Costs may vary if unforeseen procedures become clinically necessary.

  • Financing: Payment options through third-party providers are subject to their own terms and credit approval. Plenty Smiles does not provide financial advice.

7. Superannuation Access

Patients may seek early access to superannuation on compassionate grounds.

  • Approval: Approval is determined solely by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

  • Documentation: Plenty Smiles provides clinical documentation based strictly on medical necessity; this does not guarantee application approval.

8. Appointments & Cancellations

  • Deposits: A deposit is required to secure surgical and long appointments.

  • Notice: We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee or forfeiture of the deposit.

9. Limited Warranty on Materials

Certain restorative treatments include a limited warranty on materials and laboratory workmanship.

  • Eligibility: To maintain warranty, patients must attend professional check-ups and cleans at least every 6 months (unless otherwise advised).

  • Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damage caused by trauma, accidents, or neglect of oral hygiene.
